Shell New Energy Challenge (NEC)  2025 Global Top 12, Yuanchu becomes the only Chinese company shortlisted in FINALISTS

Yuanchu's bulk solid waste resource recycling coupled with CCUS mineralization has been recognized by SHELL NEC for its technological innovation (pollution reduction, carbon reduction and synergistic treatment) and economically sustainable industrialization capability, and has become the only Chinese company shortlisted in the global TOP 12 FINALISTS.

The competition will be finalized in Helsinki in November and the winning companies will have the opportunity to receive partnership opportunities or funding to further scale their business.

The New Eenrgy Challenge 2025 (NEC) is a competition for technology-driven startups and growth companies to support innovation in the field of sustainable energy. Now in its 10th year, it focuses on technologies that can drive de-carbonization and defossilization in the energy sector. The competition provides participants with funding, expert mentorship, and industry resources to accelerate the adoption of their technologies at scale.

- Hydrogen Storage, Carrier and Transportation

- CO₂ Methanation to Synthetic Natural Gas (SNG)

- Renewable Natural Gas (RNG)

- Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR)

Yuanchu Technology, founded in 2014, focuses on the research and development of CO2 mineralization CCUS technology and air-source CO2 mineralization integrated DAM technology, which generates green carbon-negative/low-carbon new materials with economic value while realizing CO2 emission reduction, bulk solid waste reduction and resource recycling.
